Due to our innovative educational philosophy, ISB recieves many visitor requests.  In order to minimize disruption to our students and staff, we offer the following opportunities to see the school:

Held from 8:30-9:30 on the first Tuesday of every month, Tour Tuesday is intended primarily for prospective parents, but is open to anyone.  During this hour you will get to see most of the school, learn about our educational philosophy and ask any practical questions you may have.  We ask that you register either by emailing or by scheduling a tour here.

New in the 2017/18 school year, we will be offering two full-day experiences, aimed at giving educators, administrators, student teachers and policymakers an inside view of ISB and learning through play in action!  The day (8:00-14:00) will include several opportunities for classroom observation, a tour of the school, lunch and a workshop/presentation with ISB teachers.  These Days of Play will be held on:

  • 16 November 2017 (in collaboration with our friends at Project Zero)
  • 17 April 2018

The cost to particpate in this event (including lunch) is DKK 500 (DKK 200 for student teachers).  Please register by sending an email to  Spaces are limited.

ISB teachers are active participants in the Pedagogy of Play project; testing hypotheses about learning through play and what it means to put play at the heart of schooling.  On 18 May 2018 from 14:00-16.30, join ISB staff and our friends at Project Zero for an inspiring look back at what the PoP Study Groups have been exploring throughout the school ye
